How we collect, use and look after the personal information you share with us.

InstallMe Ltd supplies and installs uPVC windows and doors in Canterbury, New Zealand. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit installupvc.co.nz or use our services. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
When you contact us or become a customer: your name, phone, email, property address, project details and measurements, any photos you send us.
Automatically when you visit the site: IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages visited, how you found us. This is generally used in aggregate and doesn’t identify you by name.
To answer enquiries and provide quotes, arrange measurements and installation, keep in touch about your project, invoice you, handle warranty and service requests, meet our tax and legal obligations, improve the website, and measure how well our advertising works.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, and Google Ads to advertise our services, measure conversions, and show ads to people who have visited before.
You can opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and manage or turn off personalised Google ads at https://adssettings.google.com. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
We never sell or trade your information. We share it only as needed with service providers (hosting, email, accounting, payments, analytics and advertising), with suppliers and contractors working on your job, with our professional advisers, and where required by law.
Some providers, including Google and our host and email provider, store information overseas. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it’s protected to a comparable standard to the Privacy Act 2020.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including HTTPS, reputable providers, and limiting who can access it. No online system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we’ll notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
We keep information only as long as needed — through your job and any warranty period, and for at least seven years where tax and accounting rules require it. After that we securely delete it.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that’s wrong. Contact us and we’ll respond within 20 working days. You can also unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time, or choose not to give us information, though that may limit our ability to quote or help.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page with its “Last updated” date.
